Rati Bakradze

My biography

"I am Rati Bakradze, a director by education. I dedicated several years of my life to filming commercials, where I met many interesting people in the film industry. Then, I switched to business with a very small budget, starting with wooden Christmas tree toys (this move from cinema to business was a sort of big experiment for me). Also, children's furniture. I started thinking more about business and its development, experiencing anxiety, making difficult decisions, falling and rising again. I decided to take a sketchbook and pencil to neutralize this stress and started drawing the people who had positively and negatively influenced me during my life. It turned out to be interesting. In the morning, when I was drinking coffee somewhere in a cafe, I always drew them. I couldn't stop drawing them. Time passed, and I was dedicating more time and attention to drawing while business was receiving less of my time and attention. My business was falling like a plane out of control, heading towards the ground, and which, upon impact, would explode along with the passengers who had been traveling with me on this plane for ten years. In the end, I felt sorry for all the passengers, but I was still thinking about saving myself, as anyone would act in this particular situation. The plane was slowly approaching the ground. One day, I went to one of the customers (or call them passenger, how you want) upset and bought a large white canvas and lots of colorful acrylic paints. I tried to let all these emotions burst onto the white canvas together so that the sleeping passengers wouldn't notice anything. To cut a long story short, the plane crashed towards the ground very fast. The plane, which was full of passengers, by the name of Wood Market crashed somewhere in the field, near an uncertain lake.I am Rati Bakradze, a Georgian artist. I have a wife and two children, four dogs, and the biggest hedgehog in the world. I was born in 1986 in Tbilisi. I started painting in 2024, and my first exhibition was in Portugal a few months after I started drawing, specifically in Lisbon at Studio 54B, titled "Acts of Evolutsia." Then my first personal exhibition was in Tbilisi in the same year, called: "People I Meet Every Day." "On June 28, 2025, I had another personal exhibition at the wine festival, titled "At the Right Time." I continue to work relentlessly because this has become my favorite and most important thing in my life. Wait for the exploding plane on a big canvas in the field, near the lake."
